AboutBerkshire HVAC
Our Story
At Berkshire HVAC, we provide professional plumbing, heating, hot water, electrical, air conditioning and renewable system services across Reading, Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience and a broad range of recognised qualifications across multiple trades, we offer a more complete and joined-up approach to domestic property services. For our customers, that means dealing with one knowledgeable contractor across several key systems in the home, helping to make the process simpler, clearer and more efficient.
Rather than having to contact different trades for related issues, our customers benefit from one point of contact who understands how plumbing, heating, hot water, electrical, air conditioning and renewable systems can overlap within a property.
Experience, training and qualifications
Berkshire HVAC has been built around strong practical experience, continued training and a genuine interest in understanding how modern property systems work together.
Our qualifications and training cover plumbing and heating, Level 3 electrical installation, inspection and testing, NICEIC Domestic Installer certification, unvented hot water systems, water regulations, solar PV, solar thermal, Level 3 air source heat pumps, F-Gas Category 1, Refcom certification, CIPHE membership, air conditioning installation and manufacturer training, IOSH, and a wide range of related technical training.
This broad base of knowledge allows us to take a more complete view of the property. Instead of looking at one issue in isolation, we can often identify where one part of a system is affecting another, whether that involves water pressure, hot water performance, heating efficiency, electrical supplies, controls, cooling, ventilation or overall system design.
Our approach
We believe in diagnosing problems properly, advising honestly and carrying out work to a high standard.
That means taking time to assess faults carefully, understand what the customer is experiencing and recommend the most sensible next step based on condition, safety, performance and long-term value. In many cases, the best answer is not simply replacing parts. It may involve identifying the true cause of a fault, correcting poor previous workmanship, improving system design or advising whether repair, upgrade or replacement is the better option.
We focus on doing things properly rather than rushing to the quickest answer.
The type of work we focus on
We offer a wide range of services, but we are particularly focused on the areas where knowledge, diagnostics and system understanding matter most.
We are particularly well suited to homeowners who want a more considered approach, whether they are dealing with a fault, planning improvements, purchasing a property or trying to understand the condition and performance of the systems within their home.
These include:
- plumbing and water system diagnostics
- heating system surveys, fault finding and improvements
- hot water system assessments and unvented cylinder work
- electrical fault finding, testing, certification and upgrades
- air conditioning installation, surveys and performance issues
- renewable technologies including solar and heat pumps
- leak detection and water-related investigations
- whole-house surveys and property system reports
- technically demanding domestic installations and upgrades
A better experience for homeowners
We know that many customers want more than a quick fix or a basic quote. They want clear advice, honest recommendations and confidence that the person working on their home understands the wider picture.
That is the service we aim to provide.
By offering multiple related services under one roof, we help simplify communication, reduce the need to coordinate several contractors and provide a more consistent standard of advice and workmanship across the property.
Local service, broader capability
Whether you need a survey, fault diagnosis, installation, upgrade or professional advice on the next steps, our aim is to provide a service that is knowledgeable, practical and built around doing the job properly.
